Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the team leader is to lead a team of experts, trainers, and social mobilizers to developed training modules, and deliver effective and comprehensive training programs to farmers, agricultural workers, and relevant stakeholders within the targeted timelines. The aim is to enhance agricultural practices, productivity, and sustainability in the targeted region or community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the team to keep them motivated and ensure that they have clear performance targets.
  • Ensure that the activities are conducted in strict compliance with Government rules, regulation ADB policy the agreed arrangement with client.
  • Closely coordinate with Projects Director and seek guidance in implementation of component activities.
  • Review progress on project implementation and the activities of the unit.
  • Project Documentation and Reporting
  • Provide periodic reports to Project Director, and take actions in light of instructions of the directorate.
  • Lead the team in preparation of progress reports for Component II.
  • Develop and implement an effective and efficient reporting system.
  • Prepare reports, briefs and monitor progress on regular basis
  • Document and share best practices and lessons learned from the activities internally and externally.
  • Maintain regular interaction and liaison with the donors and provide regular updates, briefings, etc.
  • Provide strong leadership to the agriculture training team, ensuring clear communication, delegation of tasks, and motivation to achieve project objectives.
  • Oversee the team’s performance, offer guidance, support, and coaching to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the subject experts to design and develop customized training modules and developed training programs tailored to the specific needs and challenges of the target audience.
  • Identify key training topics, methodologies, and resources required to deliver effective training sessions.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars for farmers, agricultural workers, and stakeholders, utilizing engaging and interactive training methods.
  • Ensure that the training content is presented clearly and effectively, facilitating knowledge transfer and skill development.
  • Implement a monitoring and evaluation framework to assess the impact and effectiveness of the training programs.
  • Regularly review progress, collect feedback, and make necessary adjustments to improve the training outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders to gain their support and cooperation for the training initiatives.
  • Maintain continuous coordination and liaison with the KPAD, ADB and other relevant Government departments or private organizations.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports, detailing achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions to the project’s implementing agency or management team.
  • Ensure proper documentation of training materials, attendance records, and other relevant data.
  • Collaborate with project management to develop and manage the training assignment’s budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines. 
  • Any other task to be assigned by the Client or ADB in line with the TORs of this assignment and the overall objectives of the project.
Qualification requirements and Experience
  • Preferably Post-graduate degree in Agriculture, Economics, Business Administration,Project Management or equivalent qualification in a similar field.
  • Preferably 15 years of experiences in implementation of large-scale foreign-funded projects related to agriculture, food security, livelihood, capacity development and Government institutional strengthening programs.
  • The expert having experience of being a part of the similar project in Pakistan, particularly the province of KP would be an advantage.

This role is subject to the award of Project.
